Do they think we're not paying attention?

One time, last year or maybe the year before, I was watching Friends and Rachel heard that some boy that she liked had asked about her and she put her hand to her mouth and said "oop -- I think I just threw up a little." And then later that SAME NIGHT on Will & Grace Jack heard that some guy that he liked had asked about him and he put his hand to his mouth and said "oop -- I think I just threw up a little" which fucking BLEW MY MIND.

Tonight on Friends Phoebe met Paul Rudd's parents and she wasn't doing well and he yelled at his parents and accidentally said that he loved her, for the first time, and then just now on Will & Grace Grace met Harry Connick Jr.'s parents and she wasn't doing well and he stood up and didn't yell at his parents, but just yelled in general and said that he loved her, for the first time.

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON. This is almost as disturbing as the fact that the Republicans fixed the election.

WELL.

I watch reruns of 'Will & Grace' on UPN every afternoon and today, Jack was telling a story to his son Eliot which ended with "and I threw up a little. In my mouth."

And now you mention the "threw up a little" thing and that BLEW MY MIND as well!

You mean not only did they do the same exact joke twice on the same network on the same night, but they used the same line twice in the same series? Are you serious? We deserve better than that!

That's because you don't watch tv at ALL.

Actually, Thursday is the only night I sit down and watch TV on purpose. Oh and football on Sundays. And after eleven, the Daily Show and other late-night crap. But Thursday is the only night I have actual "shows" that I want to watch (oh and I guess my lunchtime soap, but that can't possibly count), and I really could take them or leave them at this point, they're not that great, but what the hell. I had a busy night last night, and the weekend coming up, so I wanted a quiet evening at home with the boob toob.

in my opinion, there's no such thing as "too much tv," if you're watching the correct things. i've learned more from tv than most people have in their entire lives.

It was Meet the Parents night on NBC..were you not paying attention?

So that's why the close parallel. They probably went for the same situation on both of them for the same reason.+
