I voted!  At 8:25 this morning.

I'd enourage everyone at work to vote, but I don't think that I really want them to.  So I'll keep my mouth shut.

You know, on the one hand it's good that Bush didn't "miraculously" capture Osama bin Ladin right before the election, because it would have been bullshit, but on the other, shit, it would have been nice if we had actually caught the fucker.

I hope nothing bad happens today.

I think that if it is not a landslide, we won't know the true winner for weeks or more.  But there is a tiny part of me that believes that it just might be a landslide.  It just might.  We'll see.

I wish I were Betazoid right now! I would be pulling people off the sidewalk and convincing them not to vote for Bush because I would know what they were feeling!

Can you believe I just PUBLICLY STATED that I wish I were a race of alien from Star Trek?

me and my cubicle buddy were dicussing the landslide possibility when we got into work. i'm doubting it. but that would really show the power of the people, especially younger voters.

i'm just excited that there are so many new registrations and so many people who will vote for the first time. it makes me a little tingly happy in an embarrassing, cheesy way. and i have to hope that that will have an affect. like in my traditionally conservative arizona, huge numbers of hispanic voters have been registered, plus a lot of libertarian leaning republicans are fed up with george bush. so we'll see.

i'm hoping james can wrangle someone we know with cable television into allowing us to camp out at their house tonight.

y'know, it's funny. the other day while i was watching "fahrenheit 9.11" (meh), i jotted the following note in my little yellow notebook: "5 or so years ago, when i was taking a lot more LSD, and reading a lot more Robert Anton Wilson, i would have easily believed that Bush & Co. had orchestrated the September 11th attacks & started the War On Terror as a means to an end, that end being making shitloads of money & instituting the New World Order." of course today my brain is older, wiser, and less frequently influenced by powerful hallucinogens, so the notion is merely one that makes me uncomfortable for a few moments until i put it out of my head. but still. even if it is "insane" to think that bush & bin laden are in this together, you have to think it is mutually beneficial for both of them to remain in place. they need each other. well, maybe not that, but they certainly make each others' lives easier. they're both doing exactly what they want to do, & are making a shit ton of money in the process.

(i have to go, i hear the black choppers landing in my driveway. see you all at camp delta!)
