Sunsets and beans

Yesterday I stayed an hour late at work. As I was leaving, the sun was setting, igniting the clouds to a bright red. Suddenly I remembered watching the sun set from the balcony of my apartment. "Ah, unemployment," I sighed. But wait -- that wasn't when I was unemployed, that was just summer! Soon it will be warm, and I'll come home from work, change into comfy clothes, and read on the balcony until it gets too cold. Soon it will be hot, and I'll come home from work, change into comfy tiny clothes, and read on the balcony until it gets too dark. Dave is (knock wood) getting a house, he doesn't need me as a backup roommate anymore. Which means that I can sign another yearly lease and feel confident about my home again. I have complaints about my apartment, but it really is quite fantastic. The parking's great, the space, the grass, the quiet, the balcony, the LOCATION . . . and best of all, it's mine, all mine.

I made tacos last night and they were goooood. Well, I thought so, anyway. Dave and Mitch didn't want me to put beans in with the beef, but I did. Know why? Because me and Brak, we like beans. And when I went to cut up the lettuce, it was brown inside! But you know what? Neil fucking got in the car and drove to Wawa to pick up some more. Can you believe it? Man, what a freaking guy. I owe that kid big time on several counts.
