Mitch said I wasn't allowed to ever make it again, it was so bad for us. Then he said I had to make it again, because it was so good.
And for dessert, Kelly's exquisite key lime pie. Nice that it was so light and limey, after such a thick dinner. Better, I will admit, than my key lime pie, so I'll stick to other desserts.
Oh man. I have found a new love: eating. No, no, I've always loved eating. But seriously. I wish one could eat and it wouldn't count. I mean I guess everybody wishes that. Potatoes. I love potatoes. Potatoes, and cheese, and bacon? Thick like lava. Pronounced "lah-vuh". From a volcano. A potato volcano. Potato volcano. That would be a good name for a band.
Oh, and one of the other nice things about making dinner last night? I didn't measure everything. Some things, but not everything. And I made adjustments. It said 14 cups of milk, but I think I only put in around nine. Which of course added to the thickness, which I may have already mentioned. And I made everyone help, because I was running late, as always. You know what always gets me? Prep time. Once things are going it's cool, but prep time is a bitch. I made Manning measure, and fetch things. Kelly too, and Mitch. They all did excellent jobs. I need a chef's hat.
