The magical land where dinosaurs still live.

So the other day, I was asleep in my bed. So I guess it was the other night. The windows were open. I was awakened in the middle of the night, at around three a.m. I knew not by what.

I sat up in bed. A breeze was coming in the window. All was quiet. And then: a loud snort. From outside.

Henry bolted from bed where he had been sleeping, to the window. He looked out, his eyes wide and crazed. I wanted to go see what was outside, but I was a little frightened too, I don't mind saying. I tucked my totoro under my arm for comfort and went to the window. There -- on the grass -- could it be? -- dinosaurs!

You're probably thinking that they were velociraptors, who had come from Velociraptor Territory all the way to my house. But Velociraptor Territory is in Voorhees, and that's MILES away! Like five, or six! Seven even maybe! No, these were a pair of . . . of . . . well, hadrosauruses, of course. A pair of hadrosauruses.

I ran to the kitchen and grabbed some celery. Then I ran to the balcony and held out the celery. They didn't notice me, so I made kissy noises. I always make kissy noises when I am trying to get the attention of animal. Kissy noises work very well with cats, and that's with whom I spend a lot of time, so. So it worked! One Hadrosaurus looked up from the grass, and came over to my balcony. He rested his head on the railing, and I gave him some celery.

"Thank you," he said. I jumped.

"I didn't know dinosaurs could talk!" I exclaimed.

"Magic dinosaurs can!" he replied. "Jump on!"

I vaulted over his nose and slid down his neck to his back, then swung around so that I was facing foward. I threw my arms around his neck and gripped tightly. "Let's go!" I yelled. "DinosaurLand -- HO!" And off we went.
