The past few weekends have been busy for me. Last week was New Orleans, week before that was Rochester, week before that was Ag-Field Day. I've missed just a regular old weekend at The House, smoking and drinking. So I was really excited for the weekend.
Last night did not disappoint. Got started early, around eightish, with a bowl of new stuff, and the prime-time all-Navy Price is Right. Holy cow were we hype. Just as the bowl was ending, who should arrive but king_kai and qed. Special surprise guest stars. So the bong is packed again.
And then -- a rousing game of In Pursuit, which is like Trivial Pursuit, only different. I kept getting scolded for nibbling on the pieces. And then a second game -- with eight people. Eight people! Eight people, trivia, and alcohol -- I'm not sure it can get much better than that.
Were there cloves on the porch? I think perhaps there were. It was a lovely warm summer night. And then DOA2 on the new PS2 that Culann's girl Carolyn bought for The House, ostensibly in thanks for the constant hospitality. Holy cow, what a girl. Also, bollocks. Making me look bad. This means I have to buy them an XBox, for the Jet Set Radio Future; or a Gamecube, for the new old Resident Evil. Ah, so DOA2, I won a few rounds, not too many. I of course (I am so predictable) love to be the chicks, because they're so awesome to watch, tits bouncin' all over the place, underwear that ties on the side. I have underwear that ties on the side! I was wearing them last night! Holy cow does that shit make me feel sex-ay, even if no one knows I've got 'em on. I know.
And apparently a post to drunken_masters, though I'll be damned if I remember doing that. I can't even imagine which computer I used. I . . . wow. I really honestly can not remember doing that, no matter how hard I try. That's good, right?
Woke up at fiveish on the couch. Neil lying face down on the opposite side. The TV on for no one. I drag myself upstairs.
And this morning, hungover or still drunk? Hard to tell, but lazing about in bed for a while cleared it up. Then to McDonalds for egg and cheese on a bagel meal, the hashbrowns are so greasy and good, the apple juice so cold.
And now now, here, at work. Actually working. (Well, not yet, but I'll get to it shortly). It's miserable out there, one of the most miserable days it's been in a while, so I don't mind being in here. I'll have enough time to recover. For tonight. And it shall begin again.
