A month or so ago I proclaimed that I would buy a PS2 when the price dropped, but then it did last week, and I didn't think it would happen so soon. And now The House has a PS2. Hmm.
And now today we hear that the GameCube is down to $150. Hmm. Okay, so Nintendo is all brightly-colored and kid-oriented and whatnot, but I'm thinking about it this morning and realizing that that's what I like. I marvel at what they (meaning the royal "they") can do these days, I ooh and ahh and like to watch people play fancy long RPG's and racing games, and . . . but you know what? I really like brightly-colored, even kid-orented games. I finished Zelda: A Link to the Past months ago, and so wanted a new RPG to be working on. I tried Silent Hill. but it was too scary and I only played it once. I tried some other PS game about a little blue samurai guy, but I only played a couple times and got bored and kept dying. So I started asking for recommendations for other SNES RPG's. I like them simple; I don't have less fun.
So I think maybe I should get a GameCube. No one else I know real well has one. I would like to play Luigi's Mansion, and that Batman game, and I hear SuperMonkeyBall is really good, and Super Smash Brothers, and the new Zelda will be out soon. Oh, and if I want a grown-up-looking game, the new old Resident Evil is AMAZING. I never played the first one, not that seems to matter.
Man, why am I writing all this? Oh, wait, I know. Because I really want one, but have to justify the expense to myself. Did I do a good job?
