SPEAKING of David Cross appearances: I used to watch NewsRadio every day. I was a woman obsessed. Man do I love that show. I think everyone is very very good, which is unusual. And the way it's blocked out . . . I don't know, it often reminds me of a play, the way people enter and leave scenes. [Like, sometimes, people will step just off-camera, and even if it's clear that the character couldn't have actually left the room, they play it like they had. I think that's amazing.] I've always thought that it was a very solid, quality show, with a lot of talent, and a lot of good writing.

Also I really wanted to bang Dave Foley, but only when he was skinny and nerdy, not when he got chub and arrogant.

ANYWAY, on one episode, David Cross made an appearance as . . . hmm. I think his name was Teddy, and he was a magician, and Beth liked him. Now these were in syndication, so I was watching these shits every goddamn day. A few weeks later, there's another episode, and David Cross is in it again. Only . . . they're not calling him Teddy. And he's not a magician. OH MAN I was so confused. I eventually figured out that he was playing a completely different character. Who also appeared for just one episode. Amazing.

[Oh PS Maura Tierney as well, I want to bang her. She's gorgeous, and has great hair. I'm so happy for her that she's doing/did (I don't remember what happened at the end of the season) so well on ER. I'm so proud.]

Did you ever see David as "Donnie" on Just Shoot Me? Weirdly, that's probably what he's most widely known for. The "chicken pot pie guy," he says.

Yeah, I saw two of those episodes. Man. So is David Cross really creepy and mean in real life, or does he just like playing those type of guys?

He plays all kinds of different characters on Mr. Show, that's a lot of why I respect him so much. He was also probably the nicest and most down-to-earth celebrity I've met to date. Besides Elvis Costello, maybe. Have I told that story on LiveJournal yet? I should, if I haven't.

OH MAN I SO WANTED TO BANG DAVE FOLEY TOO! But that was when he was on Kids in the Hall; I never watched NewsRadio.

Such a hotty in some...weird I don't understand why sort of way.
