james t. kirk - "this guy"

What has two thumbs and got a good night's sleep last night?

Man, so last night, right?  I left work at seven, went to Fed Ex up in Bell Mawr to drop something off for Bruce, got home at around 7:45, was in bed for a nap by eight, and I didn't wake up until seven-thirty this morning!  Hooray, I slept almost twelve hours last night!  Maybe I'll actually manage to hang out past midnight tonight!

I was still late to work though.

Man, my boss Bruce is teaching a surveying course at The College of New Jersey (neé Trenton State) which means that every Friday he leaves after lunch and doesn't come back until almost five.  Today he wants to get there early to set up something or other so he is leaving now!  I like this teaching job that Bruce has.  Hmm, the only problem is that it's harder to motivate myself when I know no one's checking up on me, and I have a lot of work to get done today.  Jesus, I sound like I'm twelve years old.  Grow up already, me!

Man, I was just remembering Monday night, when I was at the Manse for the Eagles game.  Somebody brought up ref's salaries, and a lot of people in the room thought they must make $100K - $300K (did someone even say $600,000?), and Dave, and maybe Hal (I forget who said what) were saying lower than that, me too, I figured they'd make like $70K to $100K, so Jeff looked it up and it turns out that the salary for NFL referees ranges from $20,000 to $70,000.  That's it!  For the rest of the game, that fact was brought up almost every play.  I mean, it's a hard enough job as it is, with all those people yelling at you and HATING you as you're trying to do your job (as Teege pointed out a month ago), but you're only getting paid that much??  Good lord, no wonder they have to hire refs who don't even know all the rules.

I was having a weird dream this morning, but I can't remember it.  I can remember three (3) things:  1) there were Vespas in it; 2) I wanted to open the door to my balcony, but there was a hornet on the window, so I was dispairing, and then Mitch said "why don't you just use the spray foam, isn't that what you bought it for?" and I said "oh, yeah . . . "; and 3) I discovered that if I let my hair air-dry, it is curly.  Like, crimping-iron/small braids curly.  Yowza.
