gonzo spock

(no subject)

Hey, so what's up you guys!

So how about that "debate" last night, eh?  I'm sure that everyone and their mother is going to be discussing it, but you can suck it, because I am too!

My third-favorite part was when Cheney said, in his very first response, that Saddam Hussein and Al Qaida were related:
Concern about Iraq specifically focused on the fact that Saddam Hussein had been, for years, listed on the state sponsor of terror, that they he had established relationships with Abu Nidal, who operated out of Baghdad; he paid $25,000 to the families of suicide bombers; and he had an established relationship with Al Qaida. Specifically, look at George Tenet, the CIA director's testimony before the Committee on Foreign Relations two years ago when he talked about a 10-year relationship.
(from this transcript).  My second-favorite part was in the next response when Edwards fucking called him out on it, and my favorite part was Cheney's next response when he said The senator has got his facts wrong. I have not suggested there's a connection between Iraq and 9/11.  !!!!  I guess he's trying to say that linking Hussein to Al Qaida is not the same as linking him to 9/11?  Whatever, man.  You may have not actually said "yes they are absolutely the same thing" but you have been suggesting your white ass off for EVER.  (Also I hate you).  I also liked it when Edward told the American people to listen very carefully to what Cheney was saying.  That was hot.

Man, I have said it before and will now say it again, that Cheney character gives me the heebie-jeebies.  He's got such an evil little face.  He's been involved in too many goddamned presidencies, my friend.  He frightens me.

I'd never seen Edwards speak before.  He was all right!  I mean he repeated himself, and he answered whatever question he wanted (rather than the ones that were asked), but all politicians do that.  That doesn't make it okay, of course, but all in all he was not horrible.  He's also very pleasant to look at and to listen to, those are very good things (not for me, of course, I am smarter and more discerning than that, but the masses care about that sort of thing.)  I can live with Edwards as a vice president, I think.  He called Cheney out on a number of things that the guy didn't even bother responding to, which was good, but Cheney seemed a little more comfortable and natural.  He definitely gives an air of experience, but as I mentioned, I think that makes him totally scary and evil.  But many people may not see it that way.

I yelled at the tv a lot.  Mitch was like "who are you yelling at?" and I said "John Edwards of course!"  I dunno, I yell at everything.  Cars, animals, the tv, my computer, etc etc.  If it takes up physical space, it's fair game for yellin', that's what I say.

So speaking of radio, Opie and Anthony are back!!  Man, I am so excited!  My favorite shock jocks* ever!  Except that I will never be able to listen to them, because they are on satellite radio.  Oh well.  I even considered buying it, for an instant, but I don't have a commute to speak of, so I wouldn't get that much use out of it.  So it's sad that somewhere they are covering strippers in pigs' blood and that Andrew Dice Clay has someone to talk to again and oh how I miss Stalker Patty, and I will be missing all of it, but oh well.  It's nice that they're out there somewhere.

*I use this term with the same amount of sincerity as I would the word "blog".
