I like a-dogs.

Man, the Westminster Dog Show? That's going on in New York? I would LOVE to go see that. I think it'd be fucking grand if I were on acid, but hallucinogens or no, what a trip! I mean, DOGS, man! Dogs are weird! They come in so many different sizes and shapes and colors and degrees of fluffiness. And at a dog show you get to look at dogs (but not play with them), but you don't have to DEAL with them, with the jumping and the licking and the sniffing and the taking them out for a walk in the freezing cold. You just get to look. Look look look. Man! AND you can look at all the people and see if they really do look like their dogs. Man, dog shows. But who the hell would come with me? Like nobody, I bet. Still! Next time a dog show comes to the Philly Convention Center, screw it, I'm going! I think I just missed one, though, unfortunately. AND missed the auto show. How about the flower show? Anybody up for the flower show? MAN do I like to look at things. Looking is my favorite part of Life so far. And people-watching, don't forget all the people-watching! Man.

you bet wrong, chica
last Saturday night, whilst recovering from our Goldschlagger trophy-winning Friday, i made neil, mitch and dave watch the dog show on Animal Planet with me. entertainment at its finest, i'll tell ya! also, last week, i had lunch with my grandmom, and we kept tittering about how much we both loved watching dog shows.

the terrier group is my favorite, especially the irish terrier, who is the dog version of an adorable, yet distinguished old man, with the cutest-ever flapped over ears!!!

I LOVE the Westminster Dog Show. And "Best in Show." My mom raised and showed pomeranians and I've been hooked ever since. See this post for evidence. I'd go to a dog show with you ANYTIME. Just to get the opportunity to hobble a poodle and give the other breeds a freakin' chance at the title.

I- and I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb here when I say probably Sarah too- would love to go watch the dog show. Are you kidding? We used to watch that shit on TV, when we were in college and hung out in my bedroom all night.

Also, some newspaper had a sheet of dog stickers for free! Advertising the dog show. I stole it from work.

One thing I think is funny about dog shows is the way the owners pick up the dogs to put them up on the pedestal and take them down again. You know what I'm talking about? One hand goes at the back of the dog's neck, I think, and the other goes between their legs, right on their junk. I guess it must make the most sense to do it that way, they wouldn't do it otherwise. But jeez, is that not how I'd like to be picked up.

Did you see that clip on the Daily Show, maybe six months ago or something, where the dog in the dog show just took a huge dump in the middle of the show floor? I think that they disqualified that poor dog, which is really too bad and unfair, in my opinion.

Dog shows?
Like'em, but... every time I seem a Toy Poodle in one of those ridiculous hairdos, or a Pomeranian, or a Dachshund, or any other of those breeds that have been bred into near-deformity, or for that matter even a relatively unextreme breed like a Westie (like the FLB) or a Standard Poodle in one of those primped-up undignified ridiculous overgroomed cuts, I think to myself that its ancestors were *WOLVES* and now it`s just a primped, effete mockery, a plaything for some silly decadent bourgeois twit.

PETA is so barking up the wrong tree; what we've done to dogs in terms of breeding and genetics is the real crime against them...

But Suzanne and I still watch every dog show we can catch, nonetheless...

Man, I am there. Jon and I watched the "toy" competition that was on Animal Planet a week or so ago and nearly wet ourselves laughing.

Wait, do they frown on heckling?
