I actually don't mind too much, though. I'm inside almost all the time anyway. Putting in good hours! Piling up good income! Back for the first time on that old "time is money" kick!
Yesterday I really wanted some sushi so I called Mitch up because I knew he would tell me to order some because I was going to anyway and he did and so I did. I only ate half of it. Is it okay to eat the other half tonight? Yes, right?
I can't get over how much I like sushi. I'll admit it, I began to eat it at first to be hip. All the cool kids liked sushi, and it seemed like fun. But MAN is it good. I mean, it's raw meat! You're allowed to eat raw meat! And this is considered acceptable! This is heaven, people, heaven! Cows come next, yes, yes?
I haven't tried unagi yet, though. I tried it once, before I liked sushi, and I really really really didn't like it and I keep saying I should give it another shot now that I like sushi, but man, unagi. UUUUUU. Nagi. Ewnagi.
I can't open my balcony door! Isn't that exciting? I'm so excited about this, it's like a concrete, you-can-touch-it example of how ridiculously humid and ridiculous this weather is. I can't even budge it. Mitch was over the other day and so I had him try and he couldn't budge it either. I let the cat out via a window yesterday. I guess I won't be doing any grilling for a while. I keep thinking that it's a fire hazard, but I guess it isn't. (The balcony door being unopenable, I mean. I'm fully aware that using a charcoal grill on my balcony is a fire hazard.) I do like to be able to sit out on my balcony, though. Oh well, it's boviously too humid out there to be any fun.
I watch Adult Swim all the damn time these days. Did you see that promo last night? That Brak did? That totally bashed Home Movies? What was up with that? He said something about how the ratings have sucked for the past two weeks at 11pm because people don't like Home Movies, they like Futurama. I mean sure, then he said that Home Movies was a good show and people should watch it and everything, which I totally agree with, and yes, I like Futurama too and I missed it and am glad that it will be back (I've seen pretty much every Home Movies, but I think there are a bunch of Futuramas I haven't seen), but man, he used that evil word "sucked"! And then said something like "don't worry, the sucky two weeks are over and Futurama will be back starting Monday" and man, that's just disrespectful.
I'm also excited for FLCL tonight. I like how -- and I know very little about anime, so this could be wrong, but it's the impression that I'm getting -- "FLCL" seems to be like "YHWH" in that you can t'row whichever vowels you like in there. Like I say, that might be wrong, but it seems that way, and I like saying "foolee coolee" and "fie lee cai lee" and stuff, so I'm going to pretend that's definitely how it is. I really like that show, it's weird and it's weird and it's VERY adult-oriented, which is cool, because I get pretty much all of my anime from Cartoon Network, so even though I'm aware that adult themes are not unusual in anime, they are to me, I'm just a humble Tenchi girl. So this is neat. Also the music is great, I think they said the group was called the Pillows? It's a shame there are only six (6) episodes. They're showing the series twice in a row. I wish -- and I understand why they don't do this, I'm probably the only person who'd want it that way -- I actually wish they'd show each episode twice in a row. That way, if you miss one you can just catch it the next night, OR if you were really confused, you get to watch it over again and pay more attention, before you see the next episode. That would be great. But what do I know.
One more word about stupid Adult Swim before I go home: I really like the promos. The cards, whatever. At first they were great. Then it looked like they were going to repeat them every week, and that was lame. Now, they seem to be making new ones every day (I could be wrong, but I think so). I really like them, and I totally get the feeling like I'm just hanging out with the guys who write them, and that's always the best result you can hope for, I think.
Okay, that's it. Now home for Extreme Laundry Day and then sushi and then Adult Swim. GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!
