O, but I do get so meloncholy when I have to say goodbye to my mom. I will never ever move farther away from her! A two hours' drive is about all I can handle, I think. Maybe one or two more, but that's definitely it. Part of me likes the idea of moving someplace that isn't the northeast united states, but a larger, squishier part doesn't want to be too far away from my mommy.

As I may have mentioned, I'm going to Bonnaroo. In just two (2) days! The day after tomorrow! Less than 48 hours! Holy carp! The fifth dude can't come with, as he has some sort of court date or something (oooOOOOOooo). That means that there are just four of us, which means we're only taking one vehicle. This eliminates many headaches; however, now storage might be an issue. Jeff and I were thinking that we needed a rooftop carrier. My parents have one, but they live two hours away, and we decided this too late!

I emailed my mom today, asked her if we could meet up someplace in the middle, pass it off at a rest stop. I was pleased (but to be honest, not all that surprised) when she insisted she drive it all the way down. This woman drove FOUR HOURS on a work night to bring a big stupid piece of plastic to her stupid daughter. Why didn't I just take it the last time I was home? Why didn't I call her yesterday, when she had nothing to do? I don't know, but I didn't, and she didn't hold it against me. All I had to do was treat her to some pizza.

Man do I love my mom. So, so much. Shit, it's not even PMS time, and I'm tearin' up over here. I love my mom. I love my mom!

Bring on the "so do I" comments!

My mom is totally, 1000% my hero and I want to BE her when I grow up! Just the TV version and not the mental health version.

dude, I thought being 2 hours away from my mother would be a breeze, but it was actually harder than I thought (particularly when I wanted macaroni and cheese).
it's good to be back near family, but ESPECIALLY good when you've been away for awhile.

and I actually don't mind living far away from her, I guess I've gotten used to it.

I love my mom too! I even love my friends' moms! Moms are just wonderful... they can make anything ordinary seem completely extraordinary. I really don't know what I would do without my mom.

I definitely could not live far away from my Papa or my brother. I love them so much and get recharged when we get together. It makes me happy to hear about other people who have such positive relationships with their family members.

i tried explaining that 'don't want to be too far away from my mom because i love her and i'd miss her too much thing' to your brother a few times. i think he just thinks i'm a sissy. i'm glad to see i'm not the only one.
