What Garfield and I have in common

All of a sudden for no reason I could with total clarity recall the taste of my mother's lasagna. I haven't seen Mom since May 13th, and I won't again until June 21st.

Shit, I can't move to California. I'd miss my mom's lasagna too much.

A friend of mine (B) one worked for ten hours in my Mom's yard cutting down branches and chipping them for two,

Yes, I said TWO, pans of my Mom's lasagna.

Mom's lasagna not only rocks, but it rolls as well.

When his then girlfriend (now wife) offered to make him lasagna, we replied, in unison:

"It's not the same."

"But I could put..."

"It's not the same."

I miss my Mom's cooking as well.

As a child, my favorite food was my mother's lasagna. I've got the recipe ... but I have to agree with RXGreene here - it's just not the same.

Damn good, because I rule, but not the same.

There's one ingredient you'll never be able to replicate: the pinch of love.
