I've chipped a toof

I think I've chipped a tooth, and it makes me sad. It's on the inside, so no one will ever notice but me, but there's an edge where it used to be smooth, and I am less a perfect being. I don't even know when it happened, it must have been last night whilst I slept. Don't tell my mom, she'll scold me about my tongue piercing.

This Friday Sean took me to the opera! It was awesome! Sean and I looked all fancy-pants, but you'll have to take my word for it, because we didn't take any pictures. The costumes were great and the physical comedy was fantastic and dude even sang "Figaro." I thought it would be like Moonstruck though and it wasn't much like Moonstruck. I didn't even see my dad out with his girlfriend or anything. And people weren't as dressed up as I would have liked, but I just like it when people get dressed up. We did get to drink champagne on the man's dime during the intermission. Or intermezzo. Whichever.

Saturday I went into work and got caught up on this season's Gilmore Girls (thank you, internet). A bunch of people (me included) appeared at 508 that night, and I fell asleep on the couch. On Sunday I watched football, and actually did useful, productive things! I did four loads of laundry (and actually put away the clean clothes! That usually doesn't happen for weeks!), packed three boxes of things for the move (just sixteen days left!), did all the dishes, and posted three (3) photos du jour, which leaves me just ~110 before I'm up to date again. But every journey, etc etc.

Today I opened a checking account during my lunch break, and I'll be sending out recommendation forms for my PE exam. Tomorrow is the PE class with Michelle, and Wednesday is my last big dinner at my apartment. I think about the new condo constantly. I had a dream the other day that I moved into it and it was haunted. If you'd like to check out some photos (taken during the home inspection), they're here. Tonight is the Eagles game and Friday is HARRY POTTER and I wasn't planning to go on opening night because of, well, you know, the presence of children and all that but now I think I might be changing my mind. I haven't seen any of the movies in the theater before, but I have super high hopes for this one and I am hype hype hype.

So, hey, life is good. Howzabout you?

I'm good, thanks for axing!

Hey, I can ask YOU this, on account of your being an engineer. That is if you do not mind. Last night my roommate and I were looking at this thing, where the BBC did a poll to pick out the 100 greatest British people of all time. (Of course, they kinda cheated by including Bono and Bob Geldof, both of whom are Irish, and James Connoly, who was actually murdered by the British for being too Irish, but that's another argument. Predictably, Churchill was #1, but #2, beating out people like Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, Dickens, and Newton, was some dude named Isembard Kingdom Brunel. He was apparently some sort of hot-shit engineer, but, I mean...not that I'm Mr. Know-It-All or anything, but I never heard of the guy! Admittedly engineering is not really something that's on my radar for the most part (despite working as a technical assistant to a bunch of engineers), but...geez! Is he some kind of god among engineers, or did the engineers of Britain hack the poll or something? Or do you not have a fuckin' clue? I NEEDS MUST KNOW, THANKS.

Never heard of 'im! We never really did any engineering history (which is sort of a shame,) I only know Mrs. Roebling who built the Brooklyn Bridge and was also a woman and therefore hot shit. Also that bridge that waved and waved until it broke apart, you know that one? We learned about that in like three classes all at once. Also, there was a dog in the car that was parked on the bridge, and it died when it fell into the river. I think he was a cocker spaniel.

Thanks for askin.
I had an excellent weekend full of goofy stupid moon-eyes and movies and Justice League and dinners out at Thai and Afghani places and dogs dogs dogs and knitting and too many sweets. It was GREAT.

As a result, of course, I'm completely wiped out today. I'm jealous that you're gonna hit the midnight show. I don't think I can make it because I have class that night AND have to pack for my flight the next day. I'm going to try to squeeze HP in between work and JFK, though. Yay!

I yam sorry to hear about your chipped tooth. I hate damagining my own teeth, because then it's done for, you know? You don't get to heal from tooth injuries, you just end up getting fake teeth or fake teeth prosthetics, which makes you a teeth cheater, which is lower than a snake's belly. I hate them all so. MANNING!

You were with me the last time I chipped a tooth! At Morimoto, on a ginormous maki roll.

Did I mention we also had tickets for the same opera on Friday? Which is weird, since I've never even been to the opera. Not that I went to this one either.

mmmm so jealous of the Gilmore Girls watching. I came so close to being able to watch stuff on my computer but got all messed up - everything I downloaded came out with audio but no visual! wtf is that? ugh. I'm no good at that stuff.

Life is awesome, as always. I got a little tired of being so broke all the time but then snapped out of it just tonight, actually, and had this profound realization that I don't have to go to work every day which is fucking amazing. Ayelet is visiting for a week, starting Wednesday, and there's a Thanksgiving party and Heather's visit and Christmas coming up. Hooray!
