Elvis Costello is playing the Electric Factory in May, and it's fifty bucks a ticket (plus Ticketmaster fees, which will add another ten bucks). For the ELECTRIC FACTORY? I'd (begrudgingly) pay sixty bucks to sit down, but sixty bucks for the goddamn ELECTRIC FACTORY?? Goddamn.

Wow. I haven't seen that guy the last couple of times he came through, and that has something to do with it.

Those fees smoke pole. I just grabbed Roger Waters tickets for Summerfest and the ticketbastardo fees were closer to $20.

That's kind of why I haven't EC (or anyone else, really) in so long. Sixty bucks for a show, as a matter of course, is a little loopy.

Also the last few EC shows I've been to were merely "decent", which is further disincentive to spend my grocery money on his tix.

Not related to EC but when it came time to purchase Zach G tix, I decided to walk down to the venue to get them at the box office. I still got hit with a convenience charge of $1 per. Now where is the convenience of going to the venue. WTF! I felt so nickeled and dimed.

Ticket prices are getting out of control. I know what you mean about wanting a seat but would you really rather pay $60 to see Costello at the Wachovia Center over the Factory? Seats are good but I'll take a smaller venue 8 days a week.

By the way, I'm considering, rather strongly, paying $200 to see Roger Waters at the Wachovia Center. I really hate the Wachovia Center and I really hate the idea of spending that much but it is Roger Waters. I doubt I'll do it.

Naw, but I saw him at the Tower Theater five years ago. I would pay $60 to see him there.

fuuuuuuck the electric factory. I would rather pay more and see them ANYWHERE else, matter a fact, I would rather see Elvis Costello UNDER WATER than at the EC. as you can see, I dont like that place.

I don't like that place either! The sight lines are horrible and the drink prices are ridonkulous.
