GUYS!!

Guys, I don't know if you've heard, but there is a new STAR TREK movie coming out tomorrow and I am fucking giddy about it. I am dancing around the office and singing (not singing a Star Trek song, per se, but singing nonetheless) and tomorrow is going to be the greatest day of my life.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I like Star Trek. But I've only been a fan since 2003 or so, which means that this is my FIRST STAR TREK MOVIE. And it looks like it might actually be good! Fingers crossed we get a new TV series out of it! Though I suppose another movie is more likely.

Simon Pegg! Chris and I watched Spaced not too long ago, and I am excited to see Simon Pegg.

I haven't watched any trailers so far, so it will all be new to me!

MAAAAAAAAN STAR TREK. TWENTY-EIGHT MORE HOURS!!!

Mitchell Young! Mitchell Young and Dr. Julian Bashir. And then Spock. I may get around to writing about it tomorrow, if I get a chance!

Dude!!! Tell me about it!

I think I have to wait to see it with my Trekie friend who lives out of town though... But it will be worth it!

i'm pretty impressed that you've avoided the trailers!

i was the same way at work today. i had to stop by burger king and pick up a spock glass after work.

Man- I have been excited about this for awhile. Been watching this junk since I was a kid and fuck the nerds who are angry about it. Bring something new in here! Come on! Yeah!

i got to see "first contact" opening night in times square -- it was nuts and the crowd went wild!

definitely go see it somewhere where you can be assured an awesome crowd. not just "opening day" awesome or "star trek" awesome but "opening day star trek" awesome. i don't know where that is anymore in the SJ/PA area, but i heartily recommend it.

Too late, I already bought my tickets for the Somerdale Cinemark. I am confident in my ability to fill the entire theater with Star Trek Awesome singlehandedly.

Ohh yeah! I have only seen that movie once I think. It's very long and depressing.

You know, I didn't notice the lens flares the first time. The second time, I had read some blog post about them, and HOLY CRAP they are in EVERY SINGLE SHOT. I was impressed with their proliference. They really made the movie seem like the future. You know, the future: where shit is in your eyes all the time. The future: there will be squinting.
