O Tannenbaum

As stated previously, it took a while for the Christmas Spirit to slap me in the face this year, but eventually it did. Monday night I realized that I would be exchanging gifts with some friends NOT in front of a Christmas tree, and that made me sad, so last night I went out and got one, and carried it up the stairs all by myself. My apartment smells like pine and garlic, the garlic being from the mediocre beef stew I made last night.

I've been listening to Christmas music on my Radio Free Virgin, and writing down the names of albums that intrest me, including (but not limited to) The Three Tenors Christmas, Swingin' Christmas, Merry Christmas From the Space-Age Bachelor Pad, and Hawaiian Slack Key Christmas. And I've decided that my favourite Christmas song this year is "O Holy Night". I can sing to it (not well, but it's fun), I can whistle to it. It's got actual Jesus stuff in it, which I can always appreciate, but it also translates well (as previously mentioned) to paroday, a la Cartman and Strong Bad. I emailed the Brothers Chaps and requested they make "O Holy Crap" available in .mp3 format.

Tonight I'll be trimmin' the tree, and baking, baking, baking. Hardcore, remember?

Does anyone have a really tasty beef stew recipe? If so, please email it to me.

Incidentally. ..
I should've said something about this before, but do you realize how incredibly cool it is for someone to have userpics of both Lewis Black and Hunter S. Thompson?

Of course you do. Otherwise you wouldn't have userpics of them.

Never mind. Dumb question.

No beef stew recipies, but as far as Xmas music goes, I highly recommend Brave Combo's It's Christmas, Man! It features O Holy Night as a kickass cha-cha.

I think it's on Rounder records. Do check it out, won't you? Thank you.
